At Dream.Org, we know that AI has the potential to improve lives, but only if it’s developed responsibly. All across the nation, AI data centers are being powered by toxic fossil fuels that worsen poor health conditions, like high asthma and cancer rates, and increase energy costs in historically overburdened communities.

By 2030, AI could consume enough energy to power 56 million homes, create major workforce disruptions including a 10-20% unemployment rate, and contribute to the rapid spread of misinformation and distrust in America’s public institutions. We must demand a better, more sustainable path forward.

We’re calling on policymakers, innovators, corporations, and community leaders to commit to: 

• Transparent AI deployment 
• Workforce transition support
• Community health and environmental protections
