Urge Congress to Pass Bold Measures that Protect Our Communities and Our Planet

SCOTUS has struck again- this time they’re going after our clean air by gutting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s ability to enforce environmental protections. The only people with the power to regulate emissions now are in Congress. But they won’t act if you don’t make them.

Join us and add your voice in strong opposition to the Supreme Court’s decision to side with polluters in West Virginia v. EPA.

Tell Congress that pollutants have no place in our communities.

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our deep concern with the Supreme Court’s ruling that the Environmental Protection Agency can’t enforce environmental protections. This outrageous decision effectively eliminates federal emissions standards for air, water, and food quality, threatening not only our environment but also our Government’s power to create regulations.

This ruling ensures that the biggest polluters will get off the hook while the rest of us pay the cost. This is especially true for communities of color who will continue to suffer the most severe impacts from climate change. Etched in stone above the Supreme Court are the words “Equal Justice Under Law,” but this decision creates just another exception, eliminating any right to climate justice.

The impacts of this decision are far-reaching, and the fight to reverse environmental protection measures has not run its course. Congress must reclaim its authority and ensure that when it creates an agency, that agency has the power and authority to do what it was created to do, like protect the environment. And so we are urging you to act to restore this authority before it is too late.

Your commitment to climate regulations has never been more essential.

We ask you to take immediate action in order to protect our communities and our planet.
