Act now! Protect the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund!

Your Representative is considering cutting one of the few programs that could propel us toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. We urgently need your assistance now to ensure that they prioritize the well-being of your community and our planet.

On January 30th, a subcommittee hearing on Oversight and Investigations will deliberate on the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), one of the most crucial climate-fighting initiatives of the Biden Administration.

The GGRF allocates $27 billion in direct investment in clean energy within the private sector, fostering competitiveness and potentially generating trillions of dollars in economic growth and the creation of numerous well-paying jobs to address current economic challenges. In our current economy, we seriously can't afford to scrap programs that promise more money and more jobs.

The climate crisis is getting worse by the day, especially for our most vulnerable communities. We need programs that don't just clean up pollution; we need solutions that will provide long-term financial stability while doing so. We must protect the GGRF!

Encourage your Representative not to miss out on this big economic opportunity and to preserve the GGRF. Your support can really make a difference! Add your signature to the call to protect the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund BEFORE the January 30th hearing!

Dear Members of the Oversights & Investigations Subcommittee,

I am writing to express my deep concern about the upcoming subcommittee hearing on January 30th, which seeks to consider defunding the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) established under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). As your constituent, I urge you to consider the significant financial benefits this program offers before arriving at any decisions.

    1. Economic Prosperity: The GGRF directs billions of dollars in funding to private financial institutions, which, in turn, harness these resources to foster economic opportunities. This translates into the growth of innovative businesses and a more robust economy. Preserving the GGRF would effectively transform $27 billion into trillions, representing an investment that should not be squandered.
    2. Job Growth: An expanding economy inherently leads to job creation. The GGRF has the potential to generate new employment prospects across various sectors, thereby promoting economic stability for our nation and serving the best interests of your constituents.
    3. Innovation and Leadership: Safeguarding the GGRF aligns with the promotion of American innovation. This program possesses the capacity to revolutionize markets, positioning the United States as a trailblazer in clean energy and nurturing our long-term economic competitiveness.

As both your constituent and someone deeply concerned about our country’s financial well-being, I earnestly urge you to champion the preservation of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. By doing so, you send a resounding message to your fellow subcommittee members that we must prioritize economic growth and job creation for the betterment of all Americans.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
